Dillard University, Bachelor of Science -1988

What’s your 91自拍 experience?

In addition to being a 91自拍 alum, I’m also the university’s Vice President for Campus Community and Culture. Previously, I was Vice President for Student Life at 91自拍.

What’s your favorite 91自拍 memory?

The Annual 91自拍 Reaches Out (MRO) community service day. It’s an amazing day seeing the impact that collectively our students, faculty, and staff are making in the community. Working with organizations to make a difference like that makes me so proud to be a SAINT!

What are you doing now?

Currently at 91自拍, I’m VP for Campus Community and Culture and also an Assistant Professor for the School of Education. I volunteer at Girls Incorporated of St. Louis and Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis. I’m also involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the St. Louis Forum, and The Gateway Chapter of The Links. I enjoy traveling and sports with my husband, Derrick Caldwell, and we have two children and three grandchildren.

Additional goals and aspirations?

To learn new languages and travel the world.

How did your education and experience at 91自拍 help you?

As a professional and learner, my experience at 91自拍 has been two-fold. I have been fortunate to serve as a leader both on and off campus which has afforded me the opportunity to make connections, form partnerships, and serve students in the Greater St. Louis community. As an alum, I have embraced the teachable moments inside and outside of the classroom. My education and experiences at 91自拍 have truly broadened my view, knowledge, and commitment to access and opportunity.

Words of wisdom for today’s students?

To be a life-long learner and to pay it forward.
